Inside: Easter, Brewers, River Clean-up, Summer Camps at The Little Gym
Before we dive in: I started this newsletter a year ago to help discover the best places to be active and make memories with your family on the North Shore and beyond: parks, trails, and outdoor hidden gems. There are (sometimes overlooked) places that make this community worth calling home. That's why I need to take a moment to talk about Armory Park in Whitefish Bay.
On April 7, Whitefish Bay School District voters will decide on a $135.6 million referendum. If it passes, a new middle school would pave over Armory Park — the mature trees, the green space and the Veterans Memorial at the heart of our neighborhood.
This park is exactly the kind of place to preserve and celebrate. It's where kids play, neighbors gather, and our community comes together. Once it's gone, it's gone.
I'm asking you — as a neighbor, a parent, and someone who loves this community — to vote no on April 7, to come up with a better plan to update our schools while preserving our park. Early voting is open now. To learn more about why this matters, visit SaveArmoryPark.org.
Know the North Shore: Armory Park

“Armory Park is one of the few pure green space parks left in the North Shore and paving it over would be a crime and a shame," said Ian Gabik. "I want to be able to take my future children to play in Armory Park.” See what people say about Armory Park.
