It's Gonna be May
Inside: Green Day in the Bay, Run the Bay, Book Sale, Summer Sounds and more

It’s gonna be May — officially shifting into full spring mode. The kind of weekends where you can start with a 5K, stop by a neighborhood festival, browse a book sale, and still have a summer concert series to look forward to. This week’s newsletter is packed with signs that the season is turning: Green Day in the Bay, Run the Bay, the spring book sale, Summer Sounds and more. May is wasting no time getting busy.
Know the North Shore: Summer Sounds

Warm evenings, live music and Milwaukee River views are back on the calendar. Shorewood Recreation & Community Services’ Summer Sounds series once again transforms Hubbard Park into a mid-week gathering spot. Here’s the 2026 summer schedule and line-up that was just released!
Voice dictation that doesn't mangle your syntax.
Most dictation tools choke on technical language. Wispr Flow doesn't. It understands code syntax, framework names, and developer jargon — so you can dictate directly into your IDE and send without fixing.
Use it everywhere: Cursor, VS Code, Warp, Slack, Linear, Notion, your browser. Flow sits at the system level, so there's nothing to install per app. Tap and talk.
Developers use Flow to write documentation 4x faster, give coding agents richer context, and respond to Slack without breaking focus. 89% of messages go out with zero edits. Free on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.
Run the Bay

Looking for a great way to kick off May? Run the Bay returns on Saturday, May 2, bringing runners, walkers, kids, and community supporters together at Klode Park for one of the village’s signature spring traditions. This year also marks the event’s 20th anniversary, giving families even more reason to lace up and join in.
Green Day in the Bay

Whitefish Bay’s Green Day in the Bay brings together several community favorites for a morning built around sustainability, service, and spring energy. The Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation lists the event at Klode Park and beyond, with the day centered on Run the Bay, Recycle Day, and an Eco Fair with how-to clinics focused on water conservation.
