Memorial Day Weekend Guide
Inside: Shorewood foodies, beer gardens, pool season and MDW ceremonies

Hello North Shore Adventurers,
It’s a proven fact that the coldest place in North America is Craig Counsel Park during a spring little league game. No matter how many times I’ve been there, I don’t learn my lesson and bring enough layers. Maybe things will be different on the other side of Memorial Day weekend.

Shorewood
Thanks to recommendations and conversations in the Milwaukee Foodie Facebook group, we've gathered some of the standout Shorewood spots you won't want to miss. Avocado toast from the upcoming Shorewood Farmers Market, anyone?
Bayside and Fox Point

Bayside Beer Garden returns this weekend
🍻 A doubleheader
Fox Point Beer Garden kicks off Friday, May 23, 5 – 9 pm at Longacre Pavilion with New Barons pours, food trucks, and live music, while the Bayside Beer Garden follows on Saturday, May 24, 3 – 9 pm at Ellsworth Park featuring Torzala Brewing, Atwood BBQ, and a playground steps away. Pack a camp chair, bug spray, and a card (both spots are cash-free) and plan to arrive a bit early—parking fills quickly when the taps start flowing. If you miss this beer garden, there’s plenty more where that came from.
Mequon

The Mequon Pool opens on June 7

💡 Did you know?
Riley’s Sandwich Co. opened its original Shorewood sandwich shop in early 2021 after owners Jess and John Ludwig combined their love of over‑the‑top sandwiches with a vision for a truly dog‑friendly hang‑out. Named for their rescue dog, the store was designed so no one ever had to leave their pup outside while grabbing a bite 🐶
Thanks for exploring with us.
See you out there,
