Thanksgiving + Holiday kick-off

Inside: Holiday stroll, holiday gift guide, the Santa Express

Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be grateful for in the North Shore, and I hope you can use this season to pause and appreciate our family, our neighborhoods and our ability to explore.

Know the North Shore: Library Park Arboretum

Trees are now being planted for the Library Park Arboretum, which is located north of the library on the east side of Marlborough Drive. The project includes the planting of over 150 new trees and shrubs within the park. The project started on Oct. 31 with contractors removing select existing vegetation and invasive species. In addition to the plantings, DPW staff will be installing a new walking path in the spring of 2026. The Village received MMSD grant funding for the planting of trees and shrubs.
